Nexus Protect to present a Practical Seminar to Wigan Schools.
NexusProtect Managing Director, Nick Holden will present a practical seminar which will take the Hindley and Neighbouring District Schools through the practical application of the new data protection law (GDPR) which came into force on the 25th May 2018.
The seminar will provide a brief overview of GDPR with practical insights into some of the key areas of the new legislation, and the main challenges schools now face with Data Protection.
The aim of the seminar is to support the BURSA’s and Head Teachers with a real awareness of the work required to meet the new legislative requirements:

- Key Changes – Enhancements & additions
- Understanding your Data – Data Inventory & Mapping
- Risk – Identify and understanding your current risk
- Governance – Management & Assurance of data
- Approach & Actions – What you need to be doing

About the speaker
Nick Holden is a military veteran who over the last twenty years has worked in some of the largest service companies in the world holding senior security management roles, managing multi skilled team covering all aspects of security management from physical to cyber security and including business continuity as well a crisis management. Whilst undertaking these roles Nick’s responsibilities included the operational management of large data protection programs across multiple business functions, business units and sectors.
